A Gold Coast family business and a local landmark - trading in Biggera Waters for more than 21 years by one local listing, with the Harbour Town centre itself crediting the family with 12-plus years in the produce industry. The same family established Mermaid Fruit Market in 2009 and later took over the Harbour Town barn. Owner Col drives to the Brisbane Produce Markets every morning and handpicks the day's fruit and vegetables himself rather than ordering standing wholesale stock. Alongside walk-in retail, the barn runs a wholesale arm supplying Gold Coast cafes, restaurants and hotels.
